After a successful run in Ludwigsburg TITANIC – THE ARTIFACT EXHIBITION will set course for Filmpark Babelsberg in Potsdam starting October 31, 2025. Step aboard and become part of the journey!
What is TITANIC – THE ARTIFACT EXHIBITION?
The Titanic – On April 10, 1912, the legendary maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic began in Southampton. The most luxurious and technologically advanced ship of its time struck an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on April 14, 1912, and sank within two hours and forty minutes on April 15. The insufficient number of lifeboats and the recorded water temperature of 28°F (-2°C) at the time of the sinking made survival impossible for many passengers. Nearly 1,500 people lost their lives that night. Since then, the tragic and extraordinary events of that fateful night have touched and moved people all over the world. Although the Titanic rests at the bottom of the ocean, TITANIC – THE ARTIFACT EXHIBITION brings these stories back to life.

Experience Original Artifacts Up Close
Step closer to history than ever before. Over 200 authentic artifacts, recovered from the wreck of the Titanic, are on display in Potsdam. Each piece tells a powerful story of the people on board. Learn about the ongoing efforts to recover and preserve these treasures — keeping the memory of the Titanic alive for future generations.
Caution! Iceberg Ahead!
At the time of the Titanic’s sinking, the water temperature was 28°F (-2°C). Most of those struggling in the water with life jackets died from hypothermia, while others may have suffered heart failure. A strikingly realistic iceberg within the exhibition makes these dramatic conditions tangible.

Experience the Iconic Grand Staircase!
The Grand Staircase was perhaps the most opulent part of the Ship. Full-scale recreations of the magnificent Grand Staircase, passenger corridors, and cabins offer a glimpse unlike anything seen in Germany before. Stroll through one of the ship’s hallways, climb the first steps of the world-famous staircase, and embark on a fascinating journey back in time — aboard the Titanic.
